Tallinn, Estonia's beautiful and vibrant capital, has been chosen by SPACE as the venue for its 20th Annual General Meeting and Conference from 21st till 25th April 2009, which will also mark the 20th anniversary of SPACE.

The SPACE Network for Business Studies and Languages, which is now represented in 28 countries with more than 90 HEI, is pleased to announce that this conference will be co-organized by the Mainor Business School in Tallinn, Estonia, which has accepted our offer to be our host. The growth of the SPACE Conference (160 delegates from 30 countries in Valencia in April 2008) reflects the way the network is moving forward.

The main theme of this year's conference will be Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and Education: breaking barriers and achieving links with as parallel subtheme: Turning Cultural Differences into Advantages.

The set-up of the conference is a platform for a learning by sharing event, with its mix of keynote speakers, interactive workshops and presentations of examples of good practice. Academics, researchers and educators from many countries of Europe - and beyond - will present their research work and/or share best practices in a wide range of fields related to education, learning methodologies in business, entrepreneurship, intercultural communication & languages, new programmes and tudent & teacher mobility.

We are also particularly pleased to announce the active participation of the INTERACT partners who will present their project and introduce the interactive ICT tools for Entrepreneurs during an interactive Intercultural training Workshop.

Prior to the conference 2 days of SPACE meetings will take place, including the official AGM (Annual General Meeting) of SPACE (attended by all members) and the Council Meeting (attended by one representative per country). Moreover, the activities offered by SPACE will take place in the 8 professional sections, which are open to non-SPACE members as well. These meetings will give the opportunity to engage in the practical aspects of the network.
